My dear Talbot.
I have received your letter <1> of the 31st ult. in which you complain that your establishment charges are doubled in consequence of the Union – We will make due enquiry into the Subject & endeavour to provide a remedy if there be a grievance.
I perceive from the returns furnished to this board that the money expended from the parochial Rates for the parish of Lacock for the years 1834 ending March 1835 & march <sic> 1836 respevely <sic> is as follows –
March 1835. 2113· 14· 6
March 1836. 1469· 15· 10·
which appears to be primâ facie very satisfactory.
I am almost always glad to hear from you.
