Messrs Marrian & Gausby

Lacock Abbey, Chippenham

16 March /48

Messrs

I recollect the correspondence which took place some time ago between Mr Marrian & myself respecting my patent process for plating, & I have in my possession a plated spoon which Mr M. sent me as a specimen, which I may as well keep, and if you will inform me of the price of it, I will send you the amount.

I am willing to give you a license to use my patent on reasonable terms, but as I do not know to what extent or in what way you wish to use it I would press that you should make an offer yourself, of what you think reasonable terms and if I can accept of them I will do so –

I remain Yours truly

H. F. Talbot
