Rydal, Windermere
Aug. Sept. 3
Dear Sir,
I hardly know if this will find you at Keswick; <1> – should you be still there and shall you be passing this way in your return to the South, it would be a good opportunity for talking over the points on which you wish to speak to me. I wrote a few days ago to Arthur Headlam, <2> to ask him if he could find out for me whether you would like your son to occupy a set of rooms in the Master’s new buildings. They are very comfortable, & I should think him better off there than in lodgings. Perhaps you will kindly let me know your wishes on this point: with kind regards to your son, believe me dear Sir
Yours very truly
W. C. Mathison
