Je serai à Paris, pour deux ou trois jours seulement de la semaine prochaine, et je profiterai de cette occasion pour renouveller la connaissance que j’ai eu le bonheur de faire avec vous en l’année 1860 en me rendant chez vous Lundi ou Mardi prochain.

Mais comme il est possible que vous ne soyez pas à Paris en ce moment, je vous demanderai dès à présent si la Société Asiatique ^<1> voudrait bien accepter de ma part un mémoire sur les inscriptions Assyriennes et le faire paraitre dans son Journal?

Je pourrais lui en offrir un dans le courant de cette <sic> été –

But since it is possible that you are not in Paris at the moment, I will ask you here and now whether the Asiatic Society would be willing to accept a memoire of mine on the Assyrian inscriptions and to publish it in its Journal?
