Markeaton <1>
Octr 21

My dear Henry

Will you be pleased “of your bountie to bestow” on me a Photograph of Lacock Abbey and Church? which I want for a special purpose – I have been busily Engaged with Charlotte Traherne <2> in arranging for their reception, and I am sure you will be very much interested when you see the Family Collections <3> I have made. I wrote to you some time ago, asking if you could send me a Pho: with yourself therein depicted, <4> but as you took no notice of my request, perhaps you never received the letter or perhaps were displeased at the request!!! This reminds me of the unfortunate Titlepage – we were shewing your splendid present to some friends a few days ago, when I sadly felt the lack of an explanation of the Books –. We hope very much that you are better –. William S. & his Bride <5> are at Normanby <6> but going to settle at Abb. <7> forthwith. I suppose you know that Jane <8> &c are going “par command” to Nice immediately.

Yr Afte Cousin & Sister
H Ga Mundy
