Kidbrooke Park
East Grinstead.
23rd June.
Mr Nesbitt presents his Compliments to Mr Fox Talbot, & has taken the liberty of sending a positive on glass of the ivory carving of which Mr Talbot has been so good as to undertake to make an engraving.
With the positive he has sent the original negative thinking that it might possibly be of use, but he hopes that Mr Talbot will consider the positive a good one. –
The positive is one half the size of the original ivory & Mr Nesbitt thinks that it would be well to keep that size, if Mr Talbot finds no inconvenience in so doing.
Mr Nesbitt must apologize for the delay which has occurred in sending this positive, but he had some difficulty in getting it properly done; he must express his sincere thanks to Mr Talbot for his kindness in undertaking to make this plate.
