My dear Mr Talbot,
Aunt Charlotte is a great deal better, but she has had a very severe attack of bronchitis, and at one time the doctor was afraid she would not get over it, Tina is still with her, and says that she does not think that Aunt Charlotte will be able to do without her for some time. The doctor says she must pass next winter in a warmer climate. I am glad to say my mother keeps very well.
I heard from Charles this morning, he tells me he hopes to be here for the Wilts Friendly meeting of Wednesday in Whitsun week. We have commenced the schools at last and I hope now it will not be long before the whole is completed.
The Wisteria in the Abbey garden is covered with blossom and looks beautiful. In fact every thing is in the most luxuriant blossom, I think I ever saw: we have had wonderfully hot weather all through April, and genial rains.
I hope Mrs Talbot is better, & with kind remembrances to all your party, believe me your truly.
