Florence
Jany 16th 1823.

My dear Henry,

We positively shall be at Rome on Wednesday the 22d & leave it on Monday the 27th for Naples which time will I hope suit you for we have set our hearts on your accompanying us, if our plans depended on ourselves we would leave it open to your convenience, we shall be obliged to return to Rome by the first of March which will give us little time enough for seeing Naples. We intend sleeping at Poggibonsi on Sunday night which is three posts but we shall not set out till after Church, Monday night at Radicofani the next Viterbo & I hope we shall get to Rome before four, if you can, I depend on seeing you at the next Post to Rome as you said. The weather is much better than it has been but very middling still – I am afraid I wrote great nonsense to Aunt Lily <1> the other day I was in such a hurry – All the fuss we can we have made for the 3d letter but it has never made its appearance I am afraid we have missed getting several I must write to William <2> & have no time to spare.

Yours affly
Jane H Nicholl

Monsieur W. H. Talbot
