My dear Henry,
I wish to tell you myself the good news, that Johnny is going to be married & has made choice of the Granddaughter of our old friend Mr Dillwyn. I am sure you will be pleased at the alliance, which puts us in mind of happy old days. I have every reason to be satisfied & also I beg to be remembered to Mlle Amelina who will be rejoiced to hear of my sons marriage I feel sure<,> she was always so kind to him. Ah! how many happy days are gone!
Adieu!
