My dear Henry,

We are so undecided about staying at Rome or proceeding immediatly <sic> to Naples <1> therefore that my former letter is to go for nothing but we should be glad if you would take rooms for us in an inn & let us here <sic> where; you may take them for a week from the 21st Decr. If these rains continue we shall certainly take the Perugia road for I hear the other is nearly impassable, – I have great hopes you will go with us to Naples we can take you & both of us will be delighted if you will. –

yours affly

Jane H Nicholl
