Merthyr Mawr

Febry 15th

My dear Cousin,

As you seemed anxious to hear again of my dear Mother I write a line to tell you she is getting better but I am afraid it will be some little time before she regains her usual health as her cold was a very bad one and that added to grief makes her still weak. My Mother thanks you so much for your kind letter she felt sure you would feel my dear Aunts death deeply. the funeral took place yesterday at Margam my Brother Edward reading the service every hour we seem to Miss my dear Aunt more she loved us all so dearly. We have good accounts of dear Aunt Charlotte she got through her evidence wonderfully and I hear it was the remark of many in the Court how wonderfully well she gave it we shall feel very anxious to see how she is when the excitement is over. With my Mothers love & thanks

Believe me to be Yours affecately

Lucy M. Nicholl
