My dear Sir,
I am glad to hear that you are safely returned, and hope you will continue your Glossary which I find useful, only wish it were alphabetical; I have several times dropped upon a valuable hint just when it was too late for entering in the proper place. I have reached about the 660h pages and am preparing to send a revise to the printer reaching to p 656: so that I hope I may get out my part II, in a couple of months or so. I propose to go to the end of ל in this part. The last bit of copy sent to the printer ended with <cuneiform>. I am thinking of making my Part II of verbs only; I have completed the rough and unarranged dictionary of verbs, and should like to talk with you about it when I see you.
I am a good deal weaker than I was, and scarcely able to walk above a quarter of a mile together, but my general health is good, and I do not think my mental powers are waning much, except so far as regards memory, but I cannot expect to be able to finish my work. I shall however leave material for my successor whoever he may be.
I shall do up 10 half-sheets (529 to 608) and forward them to-day if I can; this is all that I have “dried and pressed” since the last I sent you
I remain my dear Sir Yours faithfully
Edwin Norris
