My dear Sir,
You are quite right about Mit<h?>ra, and my mistake is a strong proof of my loss of memory. If you will turn to Mitor in page 751 you will see how clearly I understood it, not so very long ago. Rawlinson’s gloss of mitra mentioned where may be found in 69 III 63d. the newly published volume. I cannot agree with you about nisi. I think the word would have been nasi, moreover we have in p 877 the monogram <cuneiform>, which I have found always with the meaning of pa<u?>per
I think your conjecture about <cuneiform> which I read “plantation” is very probable the verb would read absúd as well as aksid. Bellino, although wonderfully accurate, is not always right. witness that very word where he has <cuneiform> instead of <cuneiform>
you will see I still write very feebly, though better.
Yours faithfully
Edwin Norris
