My dear Sir,
Thanks for your letter and enclosure; I have read it as carefully as I could, but not as I should, as I am suffering from diarrh œa – which weakens me very much. I have been somewhat behind hand with my dictionary of late, but I hope to send my usual dose (48 pages) in a fortnight; it is all in type, but the last part is not yet corrected. I find it hard work and begin to think I have undertaken too long a task for my age, but I shall not despair; I think I may get on till eighty.
Yours faithfully
Edwin Norris.
