My dear Sir,
With thanks for your kind enquiries, I am happy to say that I can now write myself, though not very well, nor much at a time, but still a great improvement upon sitting in a dark room doing nothing. My Doctor congratulates me in getting over the attack so rapidly, but he still advises caution. I have recommenced my dictionary, <1> but it goes on more slowly. I am now thinking of issuing a part; about 350 pages are printed, and that will constitute pretty nearly one fifth of the whole. I am in the middle of <cuneiform> I am now getting up a list of Adden<da?> and Corrigenda for the sheets done; it will be a long list of twenty pages at least, for I am always finding new words, as well as errors in the old ones. I shall be most happy to send you a copy when finished
I remain my dear Sir yours faithfully
