La signora ha affittato il quartiere per 26 <illegible> ad un Cavaliere veneziano che sabbato, non vedendo sua lettera io non ho voluto <illegible>, incerto di far bene. Immediatamente dopo la Sua lettera che non ebbi che ieri dopo le quattro sono andato in traccia d’appartamenti che ho trovati da per tutto rincariti all’eccesso. Però ne ho trovati due dei quali uno ne sceglierà ad un prezzo discreto. È il primo ad un <secondo ordine?>, composto di una sala abbastanza propria e chiarissima al nr. 18 <portalettera?> <illegible deletion> ed una stanza per dormire ed una <illegible> per me per F. 1. 1/2 la settimana. L’altro al no 24. idem Sackville Street e dell’istessa proprietaria al primo Ordine composto di un salone camera da letto ed un gabinetto abbastanza grande per lavarsi col necessario. Questo sconta a tre <illegible> lire ed un quarto. In ogni modo V.S. sceglierà quello che meglio le converrà ed in questo tempo cercarò <sic> anche altrove se possibilmente potessi trovare meglio e pel prezzo e per il commodo. Sono veramente contento della nuova della sua venuta e spero che non sarà procrastinata. Io l’aspetto dunque venerdi e potrà far capo al No 17. da dove potrà passare alla visita di quegli altri appartamenti. Ho l’onore di riverirla.

The lady has rented the quarters for 26 <illegible> to a Venetian gentleman who on Saturday, not having received your letter, I did not wish to <illegible>, uncertain of doing what was right. Immediately after your letter which I only received yesterday after four o’clock I went to look for lodgings whose prices I found to have increased excessively. However I found two of which you will choose one at a modest price. It is the first one <at a second?> <illegible> comprising a room which is quite clean and very bright at n.18 <postman?> <illegible deletions> and a room to sleep in and a <illegible> for me for F. 1. 1/2 a week. The other one at 24 idem Sackville Street and from the same landlady on the first <illegible> comprising a living room, bedroom and a lavatory large enough to wash in with <the necessary?>. In any case, your Lordship will choose what best suits him and in the meantime I shall also see whether I could possibly find better elsewhere both in terms of price and of comfort. I am truly happy to learn of your arrival and I hope that you will not be delayed.
