Lacock

23d April 1830

Sir,

In reply to your Letter of the 21st inst I beg to say I have only compared the map with the Estate in part & that I have not yet discovered any considerable errors in it – I hope in the course of next Week if the weather should be less stormy to get through good part <sic> of it. The Fields near the Canal Rocks Close and Primrose Ground are by no means very different from the Map, there is a Field between them that runs parallel in part with the Canal and which I rather think has been mistaken by you for your own.

Mr Awdry <1> is at home at present but he leaves again on Tuesday next for his receipt of Taxes – he was here on Monday and Tuesday last receiving the Rents

I am Sir Your very Obedt Servant

Philip Phelps
