Th. 1 Dec 70

My dear Sir

I am extremely obliged to you for yr most interesting Pamphlet which excites wonder in all to whom I shew it, how the characters cd be developed without some clue like the Rosetta Stone. I observe some words are not far distant from English & the Jlim I conjecture to be the origin of the Turkish Allah – The two names of Bel & Murduk approach very near to the Welsh Beli & Mereduc, & the [Imaga?] Bel may be the Bel y mawr of Wales, the great Bel, to whom the Welsh are so fond of tracing their Pedigrees – Repeating my thanks for your kind gift believe me

Very truly yours
T Phillipps
