In addition to Mr Claudets <1> opposition, your Patent <2> is opposed <illegible deletion> by Messrs Johnson & Wolcot. <3> We think these gentlemen would withdraw upon you’re depositing with Mr Attorney General the particulars of your Invention. Should you prefer going to a hearing, we will delay taking out a Summons till your return from Paris –
