Dear Sir,
Your sealed packet has arrived (a small roll). I have indorsed today’s date on it, and affixed my signature. I will place it with the other two, when Mr Norris hands me the Key of our iron safe, and after exhibiting it to the Council. Mr Norris is now by me; but he has not the key with him.
Respecting the composition in lieu of Annual Subscriptions, I copy the following from the “Rules” of the Society.
Upon election – Thirty Guineas
after two payments – Twenty-five do
After four or more – Twenty do
