In reply to your Letter this moment received I think that the mere disclaimer of any “intention to claim the agency of Galvanism” would amount to nothing and indeed no one engaged in improving the processes of electro–deposition of Metals would now think of making such claim.
If Mr Talbot will give an undertaking that his Patent has no reference whatever to “improvements in the method of depositing metals by electric or galvanic agency and that such agency is not to be employed in conducting is processes” then I should see no objection to withdrawing the opposition –
