Aus einer Notiz Lenormant’s <1> ersehe ich, dass Sie über das so wichtige Stück: the descent of Ishtar to the infernal regions, eine Abhandlung (mit Übersetzung u.s.w.) veröffentlicht haben. Da ich mich selber dermalen mit einer näheren Untersuchung dieses denkwürdigen Stückes beschäftigte, würde es für mich vor dem höchsten Interesse sein, wenn ich von Ihrer Publication Einsicht nehmen könnte. Könnten
Sie mir deshalb diese Ihre Abhandlung auf kurze Zeit zur Verfügung stellen, so würde ich Ihnen dafür sehr verbunden sein. Als ich ein geringes Antidoron <2> bezw. als einen geringen Beweis meiner Erkenntlichkeit erlaube ich mir Ihnen anbei einen Abzug meiner jüngst in der Zeitschrift der Deutsch-Morgenl. Gesellschaft erschienenen Abhandlung über die Abstammung der Chaldaer und die Ursitze der Semiten zu überreichen, welche vielleicht auch für Sie nicht ganz ohne Interesse ist.
