Honble HF TalbotSir
I wrote <1> to you about 6 weeks ago requesting you to inform me what the Content was of a Box that was kept (according to the Bill of Lading) <on?> onboard the Naples Packet Captain Walsh from Naples will have applied to the Captain for the Said Box & it appears that it is not to be found – Messrs Dixon & Co have wrote to their Corresspondent <sic> at Naples – respecting the same and they have wrote in answer that the Box was delivered onboard the Ship to the Captain himself. There is a small Box about 8 inches square in the Kings Warehouse without any direction or mark whatever on the Box it appears to contain Garden Seeds or at least I judge so – the Bill of Lading mentions that the contents are Flower Roots. if you can favor me with the contents of the Box that you expect I will then endeavour to look <illegible deletion> whether the Contents of the Box in His Majestys <2> Warehouse corressponds <sic>
