My dear Sir

I must apologise for not writing before but I have been very busy and am a bad correspondent I thank you for the copy of your paper, the passage you chose is very interesting you are right about <cuneiform> in my syllabary I thank you for the correction – I have omitted I should think 20 or 30 values which I know but forgot to enter & have if it has a second edition I will much improve it and remedy several defects –

Mr Thompson would like very much to have a copy of your paper on the printing – and I should like to know the cost of printing with by photolithy as I think of a book which I could write and have photographed do the pages look clear?

Yours respectfully

George Smith

H. Fox Talbot Esq
