My dear Henry
I have been trying to get a few Abbies <1> done for you, but the Sun has not been steadily bright – & what was more adverse, no paper had been made. The 2 frames containing the Tower & South Front <2> are now at work but will not be done in time for the Basket – Besides the fixing has failed of the two others which I made this morning myself – So there is no use in sending them. – Will you put the enclosed letter for Laura <3> into the Post –
Your affte
Constance

Notes:
1. Prints of a WHFT negative of Lacock Abbey. Although speculation about Constance Talbot’s photographic activity are common in the current literature, it is apparent from both the correspondence and WHFT’s notebooks that she took a less active and less interested role in his photography than did Lady Elisabeth Theresa Feilding, née Fox Strangways, first m Talbot (1773–1846), WHFT’s mother.
2. That is, Sharington’s Tower and the South Front of Lacock Abbey.
3. Laura Mundy (1805–1842), her sister.
