Lacock Sunday
My Dear Constance
I have sent the rate paper to Mr Awdry and asked him to settle it and future rates. I think you paid one not long ago, if Monie will look among the receipts she will perhaps see it. I was afraid she would be late at Corsham and wanted her to go five minutes sooner because the driver looked sleepy, but she said there was no hurry. The Eucharis Amazonica which Tilly sent me some weeks ago is still very pretty in a jug of water, expanding its flowers one by one. I shall be glad to receive the newly bound Books on Saturday.
Yours affly
Henry
