Sunday April 11

My Dear Charles

I think I shall go to London on Tuesday –

I don’t know where your lodgings are, will you write a line to the Athenæum <1> to let me know? Today was extremely hot, I think it must have been full summer heat, about 3 or 4 oclock in the afternoon.

What a variable climate we live in! Compare today with the sufferings of the Volunteers on Easter Monday! I do not propose to spend many days in Town.

Your affte

Father
