Harrow <1>

Friday 8th April

My dear Father

I got Matilda’s <2> intelligence at the same time as your letter and I need not tell you what pleasure it gave me. I received the P O order quite safe and have got the money. The holidays begin next Tuesday which I believe to be the 12th April and on that day Bagwell <3> & I will go to Lacock. We shall probably come by the express that leaves London before about 9, if not I will write and say 10, that you may know when to have us met. It is raining hard.

Your affect son

Charles Talbot
