My dear Father.

If you like to write to me whilst I am at Merthyr Mawr I shall be there from Friday over Sunday but I dont know exactly what day I shall return. With th regard to the camera I sha will take time to consider whether if I photograph to have a folding one enou or not, and it will be better to wait a bit till we have some definite prospect of photographing here, at present it is a little visionary. I will send you the enunciation of my supposed theorem some of these days. Mr Prichard <1> & I are going to the neighbourhood of Tintern Abbey <2> tomorrow to look after a church, which he is restoring at Chapel Hill. <3>

Your affect son
Charles.

NB Mrs Nicholl’s <4> letter to me reached me without any delay simply directed
