My dear Henry
I am sorry to have missed seeing you, but both on Thursday & Friday I was employed all day in the city, in the affairs of the “big ship” of which I am one of the directors, and which is to astonish all the world when she is finished. Also I should have wished to talk to you about coming to Lacock, which we should much like to do in our way down, some time in July, but wish to know how late you intend Remaining there, & Whether you think of going to the Lakes this year?
Ever Yours truly
