My dear Papa

Monie <1> asked me to send you this flower <2> – which Eleanor Llewelyn <3> sent her from (Pentlegarer) <4> some little time ago – I think she said it was a specimen of Ixia bulbicadium – it seems a pretty thing.

We have had a very severe storm at Bath beginning on Saturday afternoon – and only now beginning to abate a little.

1. Rosamond Constance ‘Monie’ Talbot (1837–1906), artist & WHFT’s 2nd daughter.

2. Specimen enclosed.

3. Probably Elinor Amy Llewelyn (1844–1887), daughter of WHFT’s cousin Emma Llewelyn, née Talbot.

4. She probably means Penllergaer, Glamorgan, 5 mi E of Loughor: home of the Llewelyn family.
