Sunday evening.
My dear Papa.
I hope you are very well. All our crosses are on the left side of the book this week, that is to say, they are all good. It has rained nearly all day. My fifth lemon tree is come up. It is Matilda’s turn to write tomorow [sic]. Are you very happy at Mount Edecumb [sic]. We send our loves to you and Mamma. Rosamond, and Matilda are playing with the kitten and are very much amused. We are all quite well. I hope Charles and Ernestine are very well, please give my love to them and Aunt Caroline.
Your affectionate Daughter
