The Dell Bonchurch
March 5th
My dear Papa
Would it be too much trouble for you whilst at Lacock to send and inquire why Gilling is so long in executing the Photographs of the house (House in the village near the school) that we ordered for Aunt Caroline before we left He had then taken the negative and had only to print to copies off – he quite understood the order and how many were required so that I need not repeat – and I expected that they would have been sent to me here, long ago – to see that they were right and I would have forwarded them on to Aunt Caroline.
We have had the most delicious weather since you left, particularly Wednesday and Thursday – and Mama was able to take a drive in the Open Midge along the Undercliff as far as St Lawrence yesterday and today I am ashamed to say – we have had a wintry return of East wind, rain, and clouded sky – but this afternoon the sky is clearing and the sun beginning to appear.
The children’s colds are well but Tilly still suffers from deafness –
Goodbye dear Papa
yr affecte daughter
