My dear Papa,

Very many many Merry Christmas & Happy New Years – from all here – I have had no wits to write any thing sensible, having had four children in a state of excitement all day! the only quiet time being while they were in church – Jack Connie & Willie went, & admired the decorations very much – & they were extremely pretty – the chapel at Drumlanrig is so plain that it was rather difficult to do – They are all coming in to dinner (made earlier for them) to taste Roast Goose & Plum pudding!

Love & a series of Kisses from all – Please also distribute the same & with a special one from myself. I am

Your most affecte daughter

Tilly

I mean Baby to come in to desert if she is awake!
