My dear Henry

Charlotte & Mr Traherne <1> were to start for Llanwrtyd this day, so I send you the first intelligence of their movements you see and in case you should like to write to ask any particulars I shall send the direction. –

Dolcoed House
Llanwrtyd Wells
Llandovery

this is for letters as Llandovery is beyond Llanwrtyd from your part of the world & Brecon or Builth is your nearest point from the Eastward. –

The weather is charming a high wind & occasional clouds not only make mountain excursions on foot more agreeable but the scenery is more beautiful where there are such delightful changes perpetually taking place & I always find myself very much more unwilling to descend to earth again on such a day. however here I am & I am going to weed the garden!

Your affte Mary

[address panel:]
Henry Fox Talbot Esqre
31 Sackville Street

Notes:

1. Charlotte Louisa 'Charry' Traherne, née Talbot (1800–1880), WHFT’s cousin and Rev John Montgomerie Traherne (1788–1860), JP & author.
