My dear Henry
You said your robber was to be tried the first of July I think & I want you to tell me what the result was? – No doubt it was in the newspaper but I did not hear any thing about it. –
Poor Isabella has got her two youngest Childn in the Scarlatina now but they are not very ill with it and I hope it will not spread. this will occupy her mind very much & take off her thoughts from the sad loss of her Eldest born. she was doing her best to get reconciled to her ordinary duties since she returned home and her own health is tolerably good now. Mr Franklen was from home but was expected to return on the 1st Feby. Charles is to be placed at Woolwich now he is intended for the Artillery. –
I hope all yours are well & their dear Mamma – my love to them
I am your affcte coz Mary
Mamma is middling we have had generally speaking too showery weather for her to venture out<.> Charles is here with us & poor Mary Thackeray who has not yet settled where she is to live she is in tolerable spirits & has had nine letters from her Brothers since they returned to school.–
A fine day today.–
