My dear Henry

My plant & I reached Margam safely & I hope next week to carry it to Penrice, meantime I must write & enquire after the kind donors

I hope you are quite well again by this time? I was very sorry to go away without wishing you good bye. I charged Matilda to say so with my love. – We have now some nice frosty weather again with bright sunshine which must do every one good I think! – Chris^r is gone up to Town on business for a couple of days again I think he must be tired of the road.

I came over this morning to Coedriglan to see Charry & M^r Traherne before we move into the far West. I am happy to say he seems to be much better but is very feeble & his memory is fading certainly, but he can enjoy seeing his friends in a quiet way & goes about in a close carriage when it is fine for an hour or two. – Charlotte herself is pretty well and bears the fatigue of attending on him very much better than one would have expected, for he is always wanting something or another all day long. –

I was very glad I had an opportunity of seeing M^r Gilchrist Clarke at Melbury he seems a very agreeable person & I hope he will make Matilda happy I thought him very obliging & ready to be pleased –

I return to Margam in a day or two. the train you see enables me to whiske about from place to place without much trouble!–
