80, Westbourne Terrace,
London. W.
Will you please to sign these two tickets, and send them back by return of post – they are for next Friday, when Tyndall <1> gives a lecture, & I think myself in great good luck to come in for it –
I hope you got my letter posted from London yesterday. I had a very prosperous journey without any incident whatsoever. It was a fine, rather cold day. Ibbley <2> and I have been out this morning to two picture galleries, & there is a dinner party here this evening. Yesterday we went to the theatre to see a play called Alone – it was entertaining enough. I heard from Mama <3> this morning of the death of poor Mrs Nicholl, <4> and one cannot but feel thankful that she did not linger any longer in so hopeless a condition, & one so trying to all around her.
Your affectionate daughter
Rosamond
