Yesterday was very stormy & I am glad Ela <1> was not travelling – Today is bad enough but at any rate there is no wind and the rain is more like a Scotch mist than anything worse. – We are to go tomorrow – and the Mundys <2> think of their Scarborough trip for Saturday. –

Monie <3> sends her love. and I am

My hands are so cold & crampy that I am afraid I have scarcely written legibly.

Your letter to Monie just recd – We have suddenly changed our destination to Dabton <4> instead of Edinburgh tomorrow – because Tilly <5> wishes it so much. – for a day or two.
