Sir,
I shall feel greatly obliged if you will inform me if your beautiful discovery of "photoglyphic engraving", of which we had some specimens in the "Photographic News" some time ago, is sufficiently advanced for the production of a copper or steel place <sic> of a drawing. I am in the habit of getting some of my pictures (marine subjects) lithographed and should be very glad of any methods which would be more correct and expeditious, and also if cheaper I should publish many subjects on which I am now afraid to venture.
I shall be grateful for any information as to whether it is now, or is likely to be, practicable for this purpose,
& beg to remain
Yr most obedient Servant
Josiah Taylor
