Dear Talbot

You know I was uncertain whether to go to Hamburgh, or first to Holland: & should have probably done the latter had Worsley<1> been with me. I have this morning seen Lodge, who is going tomorrow to Rotterdam, & has persuaded me (with very little persuasion) to accompany him. He returns in a week, when I shall proceed to Hamburgh if I can get a conveyance from Amsterdam; I have therefore thot it best to keep yr money, as I have the prospect of executing (tho’ a little later) your commission. –

Most truly Yrs
Thomas Thorp
