Coedriglan <1>
July 10th

My dear Henry

We shall be very happy to see you the 18th or 19th and I hope that Mama <2> will be with us about the same time, but I cannot feel sure of that as it is always difficult to leave home as soon as one intends and they are given to delays, but I dare say they will come before you leave us at any rate – We had intended being at the scientific meeting at Bristol <3> but since I was ill we have determined on going to Lanwrtyd and afterwards to Tenby which will take us quite out of the way, and mean to set out on this excursion the first or second of August, so I hope you will stay with us till then – perhaps you will take a fancy to Penlline yourself which would be very obliging – there is a very enjoyable mountain behind Llanelay <4> and the country all round is pretty – Mr Franklen <5> is altering the roof at Clemenston – and the building at Penllergare <6> is now in such a state that Emma & Mr Llewelyn <7> must turn out for a couple of months but they are so rooted to home that they will not move further than Swansea I am afraid – I think you will be pleased to see Margam <8> which you can do either from here or from Merthyrmawr <9>

I hope Aunt Lily & Horatia <10> are well give my love to them

Your affectionate cousin
Charlotte Traherne
