Coedriglan <1>
July 26th

My dear Henry

We should be very glad to hear how Mr Feilding <2> goes on if you would be kind enough to let us know – the account Lady C Talbot <3> gave us was not quite so favourable as before but I hope you will be able to tell us that you are now more comfortable about him and that the symptoms are all good –

I have not liked to trouble Aunt Lily or Horatia <4> to write to us because I know how distressing it is to detail & repeat in writing the painful particulars of the illness and sufferings of one so dear to them, besides that their time must have been fully occupied by their constant attendance on him – but we have deeply sympathized with their feelings and were rejoiced to hear of the unlooked for & most happy amendment in his malady and I hope you will give us a good report of his further progress towards recovery –

I hope Mrs Talbot and your children <5> are well – I suppose they are at Lacock – Should you still think of Glamorganshire as a county you wish to reside in, I must tell you that Landough [sic], though let for the present, may still be had for a term, as the present occupier will not take the lease –

Give my love & Mr Traherne’s <6> best regards to Aunt Lily & Horatia & believe me my dear Henry

your affectionate Cousin
Charlotte Traherne

H. Fox Talbot Esqr
