My dear Henry
You must think me a very unworthy cousin never to have sent you any of my old sketch books which you wished your daughters to see as they might get some hints for finishing their own sketches from them I now send you a little book simply because the scenery in it is mountainous & therefore I think probably the same sort of thing as what they have been trying to represent – but the things in it are not at all fit to copy & I should very much prefer having some of their sketches here to talk over & when I had seen them I could much better judge what would be useful – You really would not find it a troublesome journey to come here with Mrs Talbot & your daughters & pay us a visit I am quite willing to include Mlle Amelina in the invitation and as we are just now going from home for about a month I give you time to make up your mind – You can never want some object of interest in searching a strange garden or library and I am sure will not repent it if you agree to my proposal
Yours affly
Charlotte Traherne
We are going on the 22d to St Hilary Cowbridge
