My dear Henry
My visit to Dorsetshire was supposed to be a visit to Cornwall – which misled you it was a pity you did not write to Sir Charles himself who would have been so happy to see you – I am very sorry I cannot accept your kind invite to meet Sophy which I should have much enjoyed but I have company at home on the 23d & for some days after – probably the rest of that week – & the first week in November I am expecting some irish cousins on their return from the continent – and you will be going to scotland I dare say I wish you would come and pay us some visits instead – I was yesterday at Margam – a Harvest thanks giving it was very pretty indeed & the music was beautiful I have got two of the Llewelyns stayg here but next week they go to London for a short time to take leave of some of their relations who are going to Nice. Noel Mundy & his wife I saw at Margam. I had not seen her before – she is vry pleasing – they talk of going abroad this winter – it is to be hoped the Cholera is subsiding –
We had as you say a beautiful summer & a very long one beginning in april & not ending till now – love to Mrs Talbot & your daughters
Yours affly
Charlotte L. Traherne
