[on mourning paper]

Penrice
March 2d

My dear Henry

I am now at Penrice & am to stay here till the 12th when I go for a little visit near Swansea till the 16th on which day I mean to return to St Hilary – We shall all be delighted if you will come here at this moment my brother is gone to London but will not be long away & at any rate will return Friday or Saturday 6th or 7th. Do come we have nobody here – only Emily, Olive, & Miss Neale – we did expect two Miss Hammonds but one of them has got the measles which prevents their coming, more especially as Bertha’s baby is here & is to rejoin her parents by & by when they have done their visits – the sea is delightful – pray come –

Yours affly
Charlotte L Traherne

I told Kit I should ask you – he will be very glad to see you but if you cant come here I would go home to receive you & could come here again
