My dear Trevelyan
I have sent you a parcel for Mr Henneman of 122 Regent St containing some specimens of my new invention of photographic Engraving, of which I request Your acceptance.
These can only be regarded as a commencement of a new art which I trust will speedily be improved.
The plant of Spartium monospermum which I raised from seed you collected in Portugal is in fine flower it is about 8 feet high.
believe me Yours very Truly
H. F. Talbot
The grass in my engraving is Airopsis Elyans Hab. Sandy plains near Bayonne
