To
W. H. F. Talbot Esquire

Honourd Sir/

I trust their [sic] was nothing in my last communication that despleased You – I am little accustomed to letter writing Honourd Sir and I fear through the hasty manner I put before You my position as regards the palace – and my great desire to try what could be done with the process commercially may have given You offence I trust this is not the case or I know not what I shall do – certainly I am not sure of meeting with success – yet it is my only chance

I trust Sir – You will look favourabely upon my humble petition and allow me Sir to be Your Humble Obediant Servant
Theoe Ward
