Dear Sir,

I write to say that I could take another boy at Easter, as two or three then leave at once – I fear by your report that the lad in question may be backward, and as he is so old no time ought be to [sic] lost, for he must be at Eton in so short a time – I would therefore, if possible, manage to take him after these holidays, if his parents desire it – and but I am doubtful as to having a vacancy – at any rate if he is to come to me I should like him as soon as can be – I hope Charles will come safe.

yours truly, in haste,
J. A. Williams
