Chippenham <1>
Novr 30th 1832
Dear Sir
I collected a few of your Friends together this Evening, and it is their Opinion as well as my Own that altho’ there is no doubt of your Election, yet a spirited Address from you to the Electors is desirable; and that your presence here immediately after issuing the address to canvass the Electors would have a good affect. – If you agree in this Opinion (which I trust you will) & will send me an address, I will get it printed & circulated forthwith, and also obtain the presence of some friends to assist in Canvassing.
I have not had any Communication with the Returning Officer for reasons I will explain, when I have the pleasure of meeting you. –
I remain
Dear Sir
Yours very faithfully & obliged
